Our membership is diversified and open to all. Currently, membership companies range from shipyards, cruise lines, steamship agencies, pilots, and port companies, to legal firms, banks, research, and insurance companies. Our membership year runs from January 1st through December 31st. Our Standard Membership is only $80 per year. Our meetings typically cost between $40 and $50 for members and their guests. Non-members are always invited to join us; however, we usually charge an extra $10 to attend. The meetings include dinner or lunch and a guest speaker. Events Sponsorship opportunities are also available to promote your business. Also, we are now accepting credit cards for payment of membership dues and at the time of registering for meetings. We hope to accept credit cards at the door at future meetings, but we will continue to accept payment by check and cash.
In addition to our regular membership, we also offer a Corporate Membership at $400 per year. A Corporate Membership includes pre-payment of all regular dinner and lunch meetings for the membership year. A corporate membership is transferable to any company employee who wishes to attend a dinner meeting. The IRS requires we advise that payments to this organization are not deductible as a charitable contribution but may be deductible as a business expense.
